Mardi and Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Mardi and Annapurna Base Camp Trek

The Mardi Himal and Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) treks are two popular trekking routes in the Annapurna region of Nepal. While these can be done separately, it is also possible to combine them into a single trek, providing a varied and rewarding experience. This combined trek provides an opportunity to explore diverse landscapes, from lowland villages and forests to high alpine areas. The trek allows you to experience the beauty of both Mardi Himal and Annapurna Base Camp, exploring diverse landscapes and enjoying stunning mountain vistas. To combine the Mardi Himal and Annapurna Base Camp treks, you start the trek from Kande or Phedi, and follow the Mardi Himal trek route until you reach the Mardi Himal Base Camp, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

From Mardi Himal Base Camp, you will retrace your steps back to a place called Low Camp and then continue towards Landruk, a village along the Annapurna Base Camp Trek route. Joining the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, you will trek through Jhinu Danda, Chhomrong, Sinuwa, Bamboo, Dovan, Himalaya Hotel, Deurali, and Machhapuchhre Base Camp before reaching the Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) itself.

From Annapurna Base Camp, you retrace your steps towards Chhomrong village and continue the trek till Ghandruk village or Nayapul (New Bridge) to end your trek. From Ghandruk or Nayapul you come to Pokhara by private transport. The next day, you will drive or fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu, depending on your travel plans.
