Tibet Everest Base Camp Tour & Trekking
The Tibet with Mount Everest Base Camp Tour is a very comprehensive tour of Tibet with visits to the cultural, historic and natural attractions of Tibet. The tour includes all the important places of interest in central & south Tibet including a visit to Rongbuk Monastery and Mt. Everest Base Camp.
After flying in to Lhasa from Kathmandu, Chengdu or Beijing, explore the cultural and historic sites of Lhasa, Shigatse and Gyantse. Afterwards drive overland, in 4-WD jeeps, across the Tibetan highlands and high passes to the fabled Rongbuk Monastery and small day hike to Mt. Everest Base Camp from where the view of the great North face of Mount Everest is the most spectacular of all. From Rongbuk drive across along the Friendship Highway through the Himalaya to Kathmandu or some Travelers return to Lhasa their onward flight.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa and transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Lhasa (Potala palace, Drepung monastery)
Day 3: Sightseeing in Lhasa ( Sera Monastery & Jokhang temple)
Day 4: Drive to Gyantse via Yamdrok Tso (the turquoise Lake)
Day 5: Morning visit Kumbum monastery, afternoon drive to Shigatse and visit Tashilhumpo monastery
Day 6: Drive to Shegar and overnight at Guesthouse
Day 7: Drive to Rongbuk
Day 8: Rongbuk Trek to Everest Base camp and return
Day 9: Drive from Rongbuk to Nyalam overnight at guesthouse
Day 10: Drive to from Nyalam to Zhangmu then to Kathmandu.
