Ghandrung TrekShort Explanation of Nepal Ghandrung Trekking :- Ghandruk this trek is planned for trekkers on a limited time schedule and will offer some of the best views in the Annapurna region without having to contend with the altitude. The trek is start from Shurket / Dhampus Phedi near by Pokhara valley.

Instantly after leaving Pokhara valley, it is not such a long wait before we get fantastic views of the mountains including the common shape of Machhapuchhre "The Fish tail". From the next day trek, we follow the green valley through rhododendron and orchid hang forest before we climb to Ghandruk. Ghandruk, a large & prosperous Gurung village, is beautifully set against the backdrop of Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and holy Mount Machhapuchhre (6993m). The reminder of the treks follows the Modi valley and will drive back to Pokhara from Naya Pul. Ghandruk village trekking trails have good Teahouse / lodges facilities management by ethnic families. A local hotel / Lodge restaurant provides to the trekkers best and delicious meals. Our company offer Teahouses (Lodges Camp) or Camping (Tents Camp) trekking but lodged camp trekking is very popular because which is cheaper compare with Camping Trekking.


Ghanruk Trekking Itinerary :


Days 01 Kathmandu drive to Pokhara (820m): 6-7 hours
This day we drive to Pokhara (200km), approximately 7-hrs away by tourist bus. We will see good scenery of countryside while driving. We will be arriving late afternoon at Pokhara around 2:00 o’clock. Pokhara is an enchanting Himalayan Valley of remarkable beauty. We can explore its scenic land on bicycle/on foot or as your own like boating in Fewa Lake over looking the region of Annapurna Himalayan ranges. Overnight in Pokhara.

Days 02 Pokhara drive to Nayapul trek to Ghandruk (1940m): 5-6 hours
Leave Pokhara early in the morning by bus or taxi to New Bridge or to Phedi. From Phedi we take a path steeply up the hill to our right towards Dampus. Walking along this ridge gives fantastic views of Annapurnas, Manaslu. If we go to Birethati, we turn right after crossing the river (Modi) and aim to reach Ghandrung about 5/6-hrs steep hill trial. Where there are good views of Machhapuchre (Fishtail) and Annapurna South for our rights stop in this pretty village. Overnight in Ghandruk.

Days 03 Ghandruk trek to Pothana (1900m): 6-7 hours
We decent down to Modi Khola and start climb up to Landrung village, the trail pass thorough the paddy fields than again start climb up to Pothana via Deuarli. Overnight in Pothana.

Days 04 Pothana trek to Phedi drive to Pokhara: 3 hours walks & 45 minutes drive
Pothana is situated on the ridge of hill so the spectacular vies of Annapurna ranges, Fishtail and green valley can be viewed from Pothana. Most part of the trail to Pokhara from Pothana is one the ridge of hill and we walk into the forest from where the shining views of Himalayas can be observed. We decent down to Phedi through the village of Dhaupus then take our taxi to Pokhara Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 05 Pokhara drive to Kathmandu: 6-7 hours
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist mini bus that takes about six or seven hours. While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, you head up to Damauli, Dumre, Muglin and Kurintar where the Nepal's first Cable car is operated to reach to Manakamana Temple. En route, you could enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields and people being engaged in their daily life activities. From Naubishe you climb up to Thankot, the gateway to capital city. You are then directly taken to your hotel in Kathmandu.
