Everest Base Camp TrekkingShort Explanation of Nepal Everest Base Camp - Kala Pattar Trekking:- On the Everest Base camp trek, we reach the height of 5545 meters (Kala Pattar), and are well within the reach of the average hill walker. If you have ever longed to set eyes on our highest mountain, then the view from Everest base camp will stay with you forever. Here you will find the most breathtaking scenery in all the Himalayas.

Everest base camp Trekking. From Kathmandu we fly up to Lukla, the Everest base camp trek starts here, and we begin our adventure landing at this tiny airstrip. The next few days are spent trekking through the heartland of the Sherpa people. We will stay in lodges run by the Sherpas themselves or our staff settle tents camp if you choose Camping trekking arrangements. Passing Buddhist monasteries with the views of Everest getting closer everyday. We will have rest days in the villages of Namche Bazaar. This will allow us to explore the region and to acclimatize, which is very important. Although this trek is called the Everest base camp trek, our goal is the summit of Kala Pattar, which is higher than Everest base camp, with awe-inspiring views of Nuptse and Everest with the Khumbu Glacier After trekking to Kala Pattar, we then return at a leisurely pace back to Namche and Lukla for our flight back to Kathmandu.

On the Everest base Camp trek, we use the best lodges run by Sherpa families or our own Tents camp. The Everest Base Camp treks are organized carefully by Alpine Adventure Club Treks & Expedition.


ITINERARY: Everest Base Camp & Kala Pattar Trekking - 12 Days


Day 01: Kathmandu flight to Lukla trek to Phakding (2600m) 3 & half hours
We fly on a twin-engine Otter to the Himalayan foothills where we will begin our trek into the Khumbu region. The views from the plane are amazing, providing dramatic views of terraced hills and the distant Himalayan giants. After landing in the village of Lukla (9,350 feet) we will meet the rest of our staff and porters and trek for about two and a half hours to Phakding. Here we will meet up with trekkers who have participated in the Jiri extension

Day 02: Phakding trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m) (5-6 hours Walk)
We continue trekking along the banks of the Dudh Kosi, crossing this majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering Sagamartha National Park, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Khumbu region.

Day 03 Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar (Full Day Enjoying)
Today is a rest and acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. Namche is a colorful village with many wonderful and interesting shops and vendors, fabulous food, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. An early hike above town, before the clouds move in, will reward climbers with a spectacular Himalayan sunrise and views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse (the 4th highest peak in the world), and the beautiful Ama Dablam. On the way down, we can visit the Sherpa Museum that houses an exhibit on traditional Sherpa lifestyle and a fabulous photography display by a local Nepalese naturalist. One room highlights the Sherpa traditions and in another, Sherpa high altitude climbers are presented.

Day 04: Namche bazaar trek to Tengbuche (3860m) (5 to 6 hours walks)
The trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Kosi with magnificent views of the mountains. We will spend the night next to the Thyangboche monastery, the spiritual center of Khumbu region. Inside the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. If our group is lucky, we will see the Lama perform a ceremony and hear the mystical chanting and music.

Day 05: Tengboche trek to Dingbuche (4410m) (5 hours walks)
From Thyangboche the trail drops to Debuche, crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola, and climbs to Pangboche amongst thousands of Mani stones. Our uphill trek continues, taking us to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam.

Day 06: Dingboche trek to Lobuche (4910m) ((5 hours walks)
From Dingbouche the trail traverses through farmlands and meadows before continuing along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier you will reach in Dughla (4620m) and continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and passes by stone memorials for climbers who have perished on nearby summits. We follow the trail to Lobuche and camp just below the terminal moraine of a tributary glacier.

Day 07: Lobuche trek to Gorak Shep (5180m) & Everest base camp (6 hours walks)
Trek from Lobuche (4900m.) to Gorak shep (5180m.) which takes about three hours. You will have lunch at Gorak shep and you can walk to Everest Base Camp (5364m.). You will spend about 4 and half hours trek up to Everest Base Camp and back to Gorak shep. The trek is on glacier and snow capped rocks. You can also see many small frozen lakes around the Everest Base Camp and return back to Gorak shep.

Day 08: Gorak Shep trek to Kala Pattar & Dingboche (4410m) (6 hours walks)
On this lower slope of this Mt Pumori a ridge extending to the south terminates in a small peak. This peak, Kalapattar, is 5550m and it provides the best panoramic view of Mt. Everest and many other mountain peaks like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku and many more and We will spend some time on the top of Kalapattar then return to Goraksheep for breakfast and trek downwards to Dingboche the place called gateway for Island Peak climbing.

Day 09: Dingboche trek to Tengboche (4 – 5 hours walks)
From Dingboche we descend the valley of the Imja Khola, trek to Pangboche through the potatoes fields, down alpine pastures. The Pangboche Gompa (monastery) is the oldest in the Khumbu and once used to boast the skull and hand of a Yeti, Leaving Pangboche the route descends past some magnificently carved mani stones to the Imja Khola, which we cross via a steel suspension bridge high above the river at a spot where it rushes through a narrow cleft then to Debache and a short steep climb to Tengboche through a forest of birches conifers and rhododendrons.

Day 10: Tengboche trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m) (5-6 hours walks)
Today we trek back along the Dudh Kosi River through a magnificent rhododendron forest and past brilliant waterfalls. Shortly before reaching Namche, the trek takes us through a pine forest, where musk deer often graze in the early morning. Arriving in town, we may see lowland porters, highland Sherpas, and Tibetan people and again you reach in Namche bazaar.

Day 11: Namche Bazaar trek to Lukla (2840m) (6-7 hours walk)
We retrace our trek down along the gorge of the Dudh Kosi to at Lukla to catch our return flight to Kathmandu next day. After arrival in Lukla you can enjoy and calibrates last night event in Himalaya

Day 12: Lukla flight to Kathmandu (1350m) (35 minutes flight)
In the morning, we take the tiny aircraft to flight from Lukla to Kathmandu which is very interesting scenery flight journey on the earth. After arrival in Kathmandu airport we drive you to hotel.
